Description(a) Helmet associated to other components. See separate record. (b) of "Almain" form consists of 2 plates front & rear. (c) Breastplate of heavy steel, with dipped, nearly boxed roped turns at neck & armpits. Divided into 4 vertical panels. (d) Backplate is associated to breastplate. 1-piece, boxed in form, with file-roped edges at neck & armpits. (e,f) Tassets of 6 lames, working on set of internal leathers, & sliding-rivets at outer edge. Oblong in form, with near-parallel sides & shaped to thighs (g, h) Pauldrons of broad, shell-like form consisting of 4 lames, attached to vambraces. ( I,j ) Gauntlets (left original) of mitten form, with slightly flared cuffs, and of 4 downward overlapping phalangeal lames. Associated hinged thumb defense of one lame on left defense. (k, l) Cuisses with poleyns. Cuisse is of one main plate, inwardly turned & roped. Poleyn of 6 lames. (m,n) Greaves with sabatons. Integral sabatons are of 7 lames including toe-cap.
