Highlights of Arms & Armor

WAM is proud to be the new home of the John Woodman Higgins Armory Collection, one of the most important collections of armor and related arms in the Americas. A selection of these objects is on display in our Medieval Galleries, and others can be found distributed throughout the museum. We are also developing long-term plans to display substantially the entire 2000-object collection, with a dedicated arms and armor gallery to open in a few years. This will combine gallery displays with an open-storage installation to allow visitors to explore and discover arms and armor from around the globe, and going back as far as Ancient Egypt and Greece.
