Label TextJudd's artwork and writings were fundamental to Minimalism. He designed unadorned geometric forms, often in series, to explore space and the function of perception. "All of art history," he observed, [can be] "pared down to the basic geometric module of a box made of industrial materials." Lines structure surface in Judd's prints, energizing the spaces around them. His father made the blocks for this pair of woodcuts, and professional printers editioned them.ProvenanceHeiner Friedrich, 141 Wooster Street, New York, NY 10012
