DescriptionNine women are shown upon the engawa (encircling veranda) of a tea-house on the bank of the Sumida River in Edo. In the center of the group a young woman in a pink kimono in hanging a cage of fireflies, while others look on. Another woman seated at the extreme left is fanning the fire in a hibachi. Three more women are at the right; British Museum's is cropped at tip and bottom with restaurant name given but the call ita "A Summer Evening at a Restaurant by the Sumida River". AIC has print lacking the gray sky in two right sheets (panels) and slight oxidation on woodwork (later) . put in UTK 4, 35 WAM gray ground?? (CHECK)
