Label TextGlass was a high-value material when introduced into Egypt during the early New Kingdom. Once the product of royal workshops, it later became an affordable substitute for more precious substances. Glass also possesses unique capabilities in that the substance can have feathered, dappled, marbleized, or patterned designs.
