Label TextNakamura Noshio I as Musume Saeda, a teahouse waitress. She is depicted carrying a cup of tea on a black lacquer stand, presumably to a customer seated upon the wooden bench. One end of the bench is seen at the left, beside the corner post of the chaya, upon which is suspended a lantern bearing the customary inscriptions: On yasumi dokoro (resting place) and Yamato cha (Japanese tea).
