DescriptionThe base of this stand has a row of rectangualar holes and supports a hemispherical bowl. The bowl's surface is divided by raised parallel lines with three horizontal bands with the central band decorated with inlaid diagonal lines. The rich color and accidental ash glaze on both the interior and exterior of the vessel are particularly noteworthy. This stand may have been used as a vessel as well as a stand because of its deep bowl.
