DescriptionConstructed on a wooden core partially lined with fabric which may once have been colored. Iron cladding is applied to the core with clinched nails. The surfaces are covered with iron sheets punchd in a latticework design (on the upper surface the latticework is largely obscured by accretions in the openings). A single ring is applied to the left side as viewed, perhaps for a security chain. There was probably a matching ring on the opposite side, to judge by the empty hole remaining in this spot.
