Label TextIn 1927, Noguchi won a Guggenheim Fellowship enabling him to go to Paris. There, he worked with Constantin Brancusi, and found inspiration to forge his own style. After a day in the master’s studio he often drew from the model at the Académie de la Grande Chaumiere, to hone his skill in representing form and space. This is one of those drawings, purchased in 1930 when the Worcester Art Museum became one of the first to recognize Noguchi’s talent.ProvenanceMarie Sterner Inc., New York, NYOn View
