Label TextHuntington's fascination with animals was fostered at a young age by her father, a zoology professor, and regular visits to zoos for direct observation. She translated this interest into a succesful artistic career that carried on the 19th-century tradition of animaliers, sculptors specializing in animal subjects. This work combines detailed description with a carefully composed design to highlight the swans' natural grace.
