Label TextThe son of actress Fannie Brice, William Brice grew up in New York and Hollywood. After art studies in Los Angeles and New York, he returned to California in 1940 to become a protégé of the Expressionist Rico Le Brun. His work reflects the influence of abstraction and an appreciation of European modernism.
