DescriptionImperial; obv: Head of Trajan, laureate, to right. '(I)MP.(CA)ES.NERVA.TRAJAN.AVG.GERM.P.M.' around

rev: Concordia, draped, seated left on seat without back, sacrificing out of patera in right hand over lighter altar and holding double cornucopiae in left hand, 'TR.POT COS.II.P.P.' left and right, 'S C' in exergue.
note: Trajan extended the borders of the empire further than any previous Roman emperor. He spent his reign almost constantly at war, hence the irony of the reverse of this coin, 'Concordia'. The obverse is a particularly fine portrait of Trajan.
