DescriptionImperialrev. personification of Felicitas
Julia Maesa made her teenage grandson Elagabalus emperor after Caracalla's death. When he didn't work out, she had him replaced by Severus Alexander, and very probably had Elagabalus murdered. This coin, minted during Elagabalus' reign could have been his failed attempt to win her favor.
