Krishna Reddy pioneered and mastered the "color-viscosity process" of printing numerous colors at one time on a single metal plate by analyzing and controlling the oil contents of inks. Further experiments enabled him to make his color prints with directness and control, increasing their expressiveness through the intensity of tones and range of colors. Trained as a sculptor, Reddy sees the intaglio plate as a sculpted surface and its printing as a three-dimensional process.
