Label TextJade bracelets have made in China since about the 4th millennium BCE. This bracelet is decorated with C-scrolls, a design that derived from metalwork ornamentation, and is often seen on jade works from the Eastern Zhou and Han dynasties.
The garment hook consists of three movable sections and is embellished with relief and openwork S-shaped feline dragons and an equine-looking dragon hook. Like similar works found in the tomb of the King of Nan Yue at Canton (122 BCE), it is reminiscent of animal artworks in bronze and gold created by nomadic steppe-cultures along China's western and northwestern borders.
