Label TextThe light chamber ("hibokuro") of the rusted cast iron lantern is decorated with cut-out paulownia crests. Installed on a stone, the lantern is sheltered by a garden wall and two Japanese dwarf maples with autumnal foliage. The location of the depicted lantern is unknown.ProvenancePaul A.
