DescriptionEarthenware vessel with horizontal, raised bands with patterns incised and impressed into the surface with molds. The body was turned by hand on an oiled bowl, built up with coils. Reddish slip was applied to the pot with white kaolin impressed into the interstices.ProvenanceBlake Robinson (d. 2012), Washington, DC; upon his death, held in trust by the estate; by bequest to the Worcester Art Museum, 2012.
