DescriptionArtist book consisting of two volumes. Volume I (“Plant Passage”), and Volume II (“Insect Passage”). Volume I consists of six hand-colored woodcuts, title page; colophon; & text selected from "Spring Snow" by Ukiyo Mishima, translated by Michael Gallagher. Woodcuts are on the right side, graphite rubbing of portions of the same block are on the opposite page, creating a mirror image. Volume II consists of nine hand-colored woodcuts, title page; colophon; & text selected from "Spring Snow" by Ukiyo Mishima, translated by Michael Gallagher. Woodcuts are on the right side, graphite rubbing of portions of the same block are on the opposite page, creating a mirror image.
