DescriptionUpper torso only. Has lance rest. Looks like an original piece that has been altered--the external surface looks like it has been worked over. Lance rest is associated but could be authentic. Robust inward turn at neck. Holes for gussets.
ProvenancePurchased by John W. Higgins on September 28, 1929 from estate of Dr. Bashford Dean (Riverdale, NY). Given to the Museum on December 26, 1946. Collection transfer from Higgins Armory, January 2014.
