DescriptionOutwardly curving, rounded breastplate with full-length medial ridge to the waist. Curved, inwardly turned, roped edges at the neck and arms. These are followed by engraved bands filled with scrolling foliate vines on a hatched, blackened ground. The band at the neck is ogival along the medial line. The waistline is followed by an embossed roped rib, above which is engraved a scalloped line with fluted rivets at the side edges and the medial line. There is a two-lame riveted, rounded fauld, the terminal lame of which has an inward, roped turn. Across the breast at mid-height is the engraved inscription "WORCESTER/PRESSEDSTEEL/COMPANY."ProvenanceAccording to record files, part of the group HAM#s 246.1-10 obtained from "Armorer Norsa" in Venice, made 4 November 1907. Invoiced to WPS 14 July 1909.
