DescriptionRobust blade of triangular cross-section, fullered from the tip to about 3/4 up the blade on all 3 sides; 2 of 3 sides also reinforced with ribbing from the tip to about 1/3 up; 3rd side bears Orb and Cross mark near the hilt. Blade has been corroded and heavily cleaned. Restored hilt consists of hexagonal rondels flanking wooden grip. Rondels feature openwork Gothic ornamentation around the outer edge. End rondel secured with floral-shaped embossed cap of 16 petals. Iron cuffs attached to inside of each rondel secure and protect the wooden grip.
