Label TextMenuki were wrapped into the handle of Japanese swords as decorative mountings. Embodying floral, legendary, and spiritual themes, according to the tastes of the wearer, menuki were typically designed to match the tsuba and other sword fittings.ProvenancePurchased by John W.
