MarkingsOn the upper third of the blade, near the obverse face back, the side of the blade has two trefoil stamps in line, one of which retains a brass inlay. No other marks are visible.

DescriptionIron blade, straight & acutely pointed, triangular in section & sharpened on 1 edge. Blade has low, triangular back on its upper third, & becomes triangular section for remaining two-thirds with flat reverse face full-length. Tip reinforced, of quadrangular section for 1 1/4" above point. Shoulders of blade are slightly curved to accomodate grip now lost.

Blade drawn out in long pointed tang of rectangular section. Guard or pommel not preserved.
