DescriptionSteel, in excavated condition. Straight, single-edged blade, edges parallel nearly to point where back edge sharply curves forward to meet gently curved cutting edge. At back edge starting near the tang is a wide, shallow fuller extending for most of blade length. This followed by incised line that curves to meet back edge near point. Very broad tang tapering gently to wide, blunt point.ProvenancePurchased by John Woodman Higgins as part of a lot of items said to be from Aix-en-Provence, from Sumner Healey (NYC) on 20 April 1929.
