Label TextAs Japan entered the world in the late 1800s, traditional crafts became much sought after on global art markets. Takase Torakichi, also known as Kōzan, was a craftsman specializing in jizai figurines of insects and sea life, whose workshop made objects like this one for buyers both in Japan and overseas.
