The tribal cultures of Italy were heavily influenced by the Greeks in this period, melding Greek innovations with their own local traditions. Among these tribes, the Latin tribes of Rome would eventually build a Mediterranean empire of their own.ProvenancePurchased by John W. Higgins from C.A. Lembessis, 22 rue Royale, Paris on June 4, 1931. Collection transfer from Higgins Armory, January 2014.
