DescriptionDouble edge leaf-shaped blade, of hollow-ground section with squared raised medial rib on both faces. Wooden hilt tapers acutely to form narrow grip. Crossguards covered in iron sheeting. Grip covered in copper wire, with brass wire around center of waist. Edges of pommel covered in brass sheeting.
ProvenanceGift to the Museum from the Estate of Yvonne Leglaine in 1974. Collection transfer from Higgins Armory, January 2014.
