DescriptionTasset of 4 lames; cuisse of 9 lames, poleyn of mainplate with 4 lames above, 3 below. Rolled edge at base of tasset; lame below detaches on keyhole slots with mushroom stud and turning pin. Heavy double-line decoration on top 3 lames, not found elsewhere on the suit. Fainter double-line decoration on last lame of tassets and on cuisses. 3rd lame down on L tasset restored. Bottom lame of tassets goes with cuisses, top 3 lames of tassets associated to cuisses.
ProvenancePurchased by John W. Higgins on October 3, 1929 from Cyril Andrade. London, England, his no. 12, no. 356 on invoice. Given to the Museum on December 15, 1931. Collection transfer from Higgins Armory, January 2014.
