DescriptionCollar: Associated, and not of period (ca. 1620 or later)

Front and back plates, pivoting on a rivet on the L shoulder, secured with keyhole slot and mushroom stud on R. Lined with leather and trimmed with red and gold fabric fringe. Gilding is probably original, unlike other components.
ProvenancePurchased by John W. Higgins on May 16, 1930 from Cyril Andrade, Ltd. of London, his no. 18. Given to the Museum on December 15, 1931. Collection transfer from Higgins Armory, January 2014.
