DescriptionRestored fauld of two lames, articulating on rivets. Upper lame pierced near terminals with keyhole-shaped slots. Both lames outwardly rounded, with pronounced "spring". Upper edges slightly mitered. Restored tassets of five articulated lames working on sliding rivets and leathers. Each lame has medial ridge. Etched en suite with breastplate. Terminal lames with pair of turning-pins. Bottom edge of tassets has been modified to accommodate cuisses, notably by apparent removal of decorative brass rivets. Tasset articulation has been altered, apparently converting from leathers to sliding rivets.Provenance(Possibly) Herberstein family, Eggenberg Castle (possibly) M. Bachereau (Paris) Mr. Oliver H. P.
