DescriptionGorget: 4 lb. 3 oz., of 3 thick plates each front & rear, the topmost with a heavy, inwardly turned file-roped edge. Front set of lames has low medial ridge full length. The front mainplate is bluntly pointed, and pivoted to the rearplate at the top of the left shoulder, with a keyhole-shaped slot locking over a domed stud at the right. The rearplate is shaped to the tops of the shoulders, with rounded corners. The top edges of all lames are beveled; others are plain and unturned. The neck lames work on three leathers each, and the front and rear halves are hinged at the left of the top lame which locks via a hole and short stud on the right. There are signs of incomplete holes in the basal corners of both main plates.
