DescriptionThis is a 19th century restoration, made to complete the cuirass. It is of one piece. The edges are inwardly rolled over a wire core and roped. The back is poorly formed, without embossed provision for the shoulder-blades, and falls vertically over the flat lower back to the shallow flange without culet. The sides and shoulders are fitted with recently made leather straps, the waist-strap with a buckle and retainers.
