MarkingsInscribed "FRANZISCKH.V.TEVFNPACH" on frontplate at L shoulder, and "FVDR" (Freiherr von dem Reich?) at corresponding point on R shoulder. The image of the Barbary Order (bearing the legend BARBARIA) is etched into the decorative band on the L side. The date 1554 appears at the belly in the central etched band; above are Teuffenbach's arms. The date also appears on lozenge medallion near R armpit of breastplate. The initials SR are etched near top of gussets.
