DescriptionConsists of upper thighplate with 1 lame above; knee with 2 lames below, 1 plus lower thighplate above. Upper thighplate attaches to lower via keyholes with turning-pin and mushroom stud. 2 empty holes at ceter top of lower thighplate. Slot for strap at upper inside of lower thighplate.
ProvenancePurchased by John W. Higgins on January 18, 1928 from Sir Joseph Duveen (NY), their no. 28258. Given to the Museum on March 21, 1928. This suit can be seen in a pre-1918 photo of the S. E. Kennedy collection in London (see Kennedy file). Collection transfer from Higgins Armory, January 2014.
