Description1-piece skull with integral peak, faceted above and pierced at apex for a lost finial, or perhaps a crest; 2 nape-lames in rear; hinged cheekpieces with 2 collar lames on each.

The upper collar lame on the buffe has unused holes on each end, perhaps once intended to hold a securing strap.
