DescriptionHollow terracotta figure with a rectafular base. Constructed from several pieces, both mold-made and free-formed. Square-shape hole at the back. Representation of a young woman in contrapposto stance, with weight on her left foot, wearing a chiton and cloak wrapped tightly to cover both arms and hands whie leaving feet exposed. Head tilts down and to the left, with hair styled in a "melon coiffure."
ProvenancePurchased by Philip J. Gentner and deposited at the Worcester Art Museum, by 1924; accessioned into the collection of the Worcester Art Museum in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 200B: Disposition of Museum Property, 2017.
