DescriptionReverse mechanism, designed to push outward against the inside of the working piece rather than clamping it. Consisting of two arms, one standing, with apical base designed to be inserted in an anvil, the other hinged to it. Arc attached to hinged arm slides through slot in standing arm. Adjusting screw rotates through hinged arm, rotated by transverse handle, with the other end pushing against the standing arm to set the opening of the arms. Fixed lip on hinged arm to support working piece; corresponding lip on standing arm slides up and down on an arm and bracket, presumably to set height of working piece; screw passes through the bracket, pierced by an eye to receive a handle for tightening against the arm. Carved decoration on the arc, molded decoration on the hinged arm just below the lip.
