DescriptionThe eight-pointed star is the "star of the prophets" and is said to have been used by Solomon to capture genies, djinns, and other malevalent spirits. This is also used in clasical carpet design. Depicted as well, Zulfiqar, or "double sword of Ali", a very auspicious symbol.
