Descriptionfragment of a capitalLabel TextThis architectural fragment, probably the end of a stone lintel, would have originally been supported by the head of a small column. The front portion of this piece depicts a recumbent lion, carved in high relief. His tail curves between his legs and rests on his back while his turned head gazes toward the viewer. On both sides of the lintel is carved a figurine of a soldier. Both figures raise one arm and in the other hold a sword, ready to defend the faith.
