Label TextLeWitt completed his first structure in 1962 and his first wall drawing in 1968. He began printmaking in 1970, and the graphic arts became increasingly central to his work. Prints were an ideal way to explore fundamental interests in process, syntax, repetition, and variation. In Horizontal Composite, the artist established a geometric motif and then repeated it, purposefully varying lines and colors. By degrees, a large, almost architectural image evolved.ProvenanceJohn Weber Gallery, New York, NYOn View
