DescriptionAM/1/E-HLabel TextBorn in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, Graves attended Vassar College, then studied art at Yale. As a sculptor and painter she used the natural forms of plants and animals, often in surprising combinations, to bring natural vitality into the gallery. This drawing demonstrates how the artist injected vivacity into her simplest perception. Graves originally gave it to the former Worcester Art Museum director, Tom Freudenheim, and his wife Leslie.ProvenanceLeslie and Tom Freudenheim, Worcester, MA
