DescriptionBorder fragment; figure at left carries the thyrsos peculiar to Dionysos. Central panels of this mosaic, now in museum in Antioch are devoted to dramatic representations of Dionysos and the Panther.Busts of Dionysos (with thrysos) and Ariadne, both with wreaths of leaves in hair.
