DescriptionFemale personification of Agora (Market-place)
Woman in tunic and palla, pearl earrings, diadem in hair in bun on top of head. Looking right. Geometric border. Found in a cemetery near the SE edge of town, not far from the ring of walls near the lowest slopes of Mt. Silpius. This panel part of a wide figured border to Worcester's Funerary Banquet mosaic (see acc. #s 1936.26 and 1936.28). -Kondoleon
