Label TextIn 1964, Mangold's first solo exhibition consisted of large panel paintings that reflected a distinctive personal Minimalist style. Each represented a simple geometric scheme in just a few colors. Gentle curves and lines recall ancient Greek pottery and Renaissance frescoes. They were grouped in series, and their interrelationships were essential to their impact. Mangold's prints combine this imagery with an extraordinary sensitivity to materials and media.ProvenanceLee Gallery, Belmont, MAOn View
