ProvenanceWilliam Henry Jelly and Elizabeth (Hodges) Jelly of Salem, MA, to Clare Hodges Jelly (1853–1925) of Salem, NH. Clare marries Elijah Glover Morse (1838–1903). They had three children: Rowena, Douglas and Emerson Morse. By 1961, ownership of porringer was under Douglas Morse (brotherin-law to donor), upon his death (1968) bequeathed to Rowena Morse. Upon her death (1969) object is bequeathed to Lois Morse (Mrs. Emerson G. Morse). Gifted to the Worcester Art Museum by Mrs. Emerson G. Morse of Hanover, NH 1974.On View
