DescriptionBulbous sides and somed center, marked inside at center: Revere in cartouche. Cutout handle, inscribed:LA to SMjr. 1810. Revere stamped in cartouche on back of handle. Samual May Jr. b.1810, minister of Unitarian Church of Worcester, MA.
ProvenanceSamuel May Jr. (1810–1899) received the object as a gift not long after his birth in Boston, MA. Object was passed down to his daughter, Ms. Elizabeth G. May (1850–1923). 1943 - Bequest to the Worcester Art Museum through the will of Elizabeth G. May, by means of the estate executor, her neice Mrs. Frank S. White of Milton, MA.
