Label TextA leader of American Modernist abstraction during the 1940s, Diller was strongly influenced by the geometry of the Dutch "De Stijl" movement, particularly the work of Piet Mondrian. A founding member of the American Abstract Artists group in 1936, he worked to foster public understanding of abstract art. Throughout his career Diller was committed to the disciplined geometric style he developed in the 1930s.On View
