Label Text2000-11-15: Dr. Michael Molnar has linked the appearance of the astrological symbol of Aries, the ram, on the Antiochene coins with an imporantant clestial event, the conjuntion of Mercury and Jupitorer in Aries. Using modern astronomical calculations, Dr. Molnar determined that a similar event, an eclipse of Jupitier in Aries, occurred on April 17, 6BCE, which he proposes was identified as the Star of Bethlehem by the Three Wise Men who sought the Messiah born under a regal star, as described in the Book of Matthew.ProvenanceMolnar Collection
