Label TextAfter studying with William Merritt Chase, Dickinson lived in Paris in 1910-14. He began painting cityscapes, distilling them to basic geometry. The artist confronted many influences over the next decade, including Paul Cézanne’s painting, Cubism, and Futurism. He distilled his own style which made lyricism of compositional essentials. On View
