In this print Haren Das portrays a village woman in the cool shadow of a cowshed, perhaps waiting for her husband and their cattle to return from the fields. Profiled against a vibrantly, light-filled background she leans against the railing and looks into the distance. The sunlight streaming into the shed highlights the woman's clothes and earring. While the cowshed is humble and dilapidated, it is filled with fresh, bundled hay and a large basket.
